Dear  Auntie~

It hasn't set into my mind yet...

You won't be here with us at Christmas ...

making  your famous "goopy buns with pecans"  for our feasts.   You never used a recipe -

you just knew how to make them so yummy~

We will miss your high and happy spirits so very  much~

Auntie Valeta was one of those people who you never had to worry about...unconditional love was her natural way...her garden was an extension of her soul and just like my mother (Auntie's little sister who passed 16 years ago) she had a unique joyful charm that is hard to explain in words...being around her you would get the feeling that   "CHRISTMAS  is coming!" ...that's the best way I would describe it... yes, that is it~ :^) Such generosity of spirit... and from one who was a child during the Great Depression~

She was born weighing about 2 and a half pounds

The doctor said that she would never make it...

yet she had a beautiful full life for 91 years~~~

We love you FOREVER Auntie
